Givens Communities, alongside the Givens Foundation was honored to sponsor and attend The Art of Giving, the annual fundraising event hosted by Jewish Family Services of Western North Carolina (JFS WNC) on August 9 at Congregation Beth HaTephila in Asheville. The event brought together community members, supporters, and nonprofit leaders to celebrate philanthropy and raise critical funds for programs that support individuals and families throughout Western North Carolina.

The Art of Giving highlights the impact of JFS WNC’s work across the region, including mental health counseling, senior care management, case management, food assistance, crisis funding, and chaplaincy services. Proceeds from the event help ensure these essential programs remain available to community members when they need them most.

As a longtime advocate for the well-being of older adults, Givens Communities is especially proud of its partnership with Jewish Family Services of WNC. Through this collaboration, JFS provides professional mental health counseling services to residents of Givens Gerber Park, helping ensure that older adults have access to compassionate emotional and behavioral health support close to home.

Mental health is a critical component of healthy aging, and access to counseling services can make a profound difference in helping older adults navigate life’s challenges, maintain social connections, and enjoy a greater quality of life. The partnership between Givens Communities and JFS reflects a shared commitment to supporting the whole person and creating communities where older adults can thrive.

“Organizations like Jewish Family Services of WNC play a vital role in strengthening our community,” said the Givens Foundation team. “We are grateful for their dedication to serving people of all backgrounds and proud to partner with them in expanding access to mental health resources for older adults in Western North Carolina.”

The Givens Foundation congratulates JFS WNC on another successful Art of Giving event and applauds the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing inclusive, compassionate care throughout the region. Together, we continue to build a stronger network of support for older adults and their families across Western North Carolina.
