Once you apply for a position with us, the hiring manager over that position will review your qualifications. If your qualifications appear to match, the hiring manager will reach out to you to further discuss the position and schedule an interview.
Upon offer, successful candidates will be required to consent to a pre-employment substance screening, criminal background check and are required to provide payroll direct deposit information as a condition of employment.
Our goal is to move the applicant process along, though some positions take longer to hire than others. Please be patient with us as we work through the process. If you see multiple positions of interest, please apply to each one.
We are always accepting applications for positions in dining services (waitstaff, dishwashers, culinary staff), environmental services (housekeeping, floor care, laundry), and nursing (CNAs, LPNs, RNs). However, there are times when we are fully staffed in these departments and are not actively interviewing. Applications will be held for a short time in case the need arises to hire for a position.

Team Member Spotlights
Mario Miranda has been a long-time Dining Team member for 17 years. He loves the people at Givens and especially the residents. He helps by putting away deliveries, performing a variety of tasks in the kitchen, and serving residents meals in the Lodge at Givens Highland Farms. Team members describe him as honest, kind, strong, and determined.
Mario has a great positive attitude, and he is always smiling. He is an inspiration to many at Givens and we are fortunate to have him as a vital part of our community.
Carol Watson has been with Givens for over 40 years. What does she love most about her job? Carol says, “Managing payroll allows me to see our employees, and help as I can. I just love it when the numbers work. Accounts Payable and General Ledger analysis make me happy when it all balances. Sometimes it’s a mystery hunt for the solution which I enjoy as well.”
Outside of work, Carol met her husband of 39 years, Dennis, when she was 16-years-old. These high school sweethearts enjoy ATV 4 wheeling trips to WV, KY, TN and hopefully more future destinations, including Moab, UT.
Shane Memory has worked for Givens for almost six years and says he plans to retire from Givens. HIs list of reasons include: family-friendly, flexible work schedules, suggestions for changes are received openly, easy to implement changes, great co-workers, friendly environment, lots of training opportunities, generous benefits (health, dental, vision, vacation), the senior leadership team seems to care that employees are happy and motivated, plenty of celebrations and lots of reasons to celebrate. Shane says, “Givens has a strong community presence and a good reputation, so I am proud to tell people I work here.”
