Givens Communities was a part of Asheville’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, joining the region in raising awareness and showing support for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The Saturday event brought together 311 participants from 47 teams to raise more than $112,000 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission.

Givens Communities’ partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association extends beyond the walk itself. Through sponsorship, we help support important research, education, resources and programs for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The partnership also creates opportunities to connect Givens residents and team members with valuable educational programming, resources and community engagement opportunities through the Alzheimer’s Association.

The walking isn’t over yet! Givens Communities also will participate and support Charlotte’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 24, at Romare Bearden Park. Givens Aldersgate residents and team members are invited to join the Givens Aldersgate Team and walk together. Sign up here.

We are grateful to everyone from Givens who participated in Asheville and helped represent our communities. Together, we are proud to stand with the Alzheimer’s Association and continue supporting its work to advance research, education, care and hope for individuals and families throughout our region.
