Innovative ‘Earn While You Learn’ CNA Program Returns To Givens Communities
Givens Communities announces that its innovative “Earn While You Learn” North Carolina Nurse Aide Curriculum is back on track for the fall.
Despite delays brought about by Hurricane Helene, the instructional program is ready to welcome seven new students to the fall cohort.
Students spend part time in class learning the North Carolina State Nurse Aide curriculum, and part time working in Givens Health Centers as Resident Assistants. At graduation they work as CNAs, caring for residents at Givens clinical sites across four campuses.
The Resident Assistant part of training will continue in a format focused on trainees becoming familiar with the working environments and practicing communication skills. With the guidance and leadership of Linda Stanton, Communities Clinical Educator, these dedicated individuals are ready to step in and provide exceptional care to residents.
“We can’t wait to see how they grow and thrive as part of Givens,” said Stanton. “Let’s support them on this exciting journey.”
