Givens Home First Will Revolutionize Home and Community Based Services
Givens Communities has announced the launch of a new home and community-based services program that empowers participating older adults to age gracefully in the comfort of their own homes.
Called Givens Home First, the initial offering will support residents of the nonprofit organization’s two Life Plan Communities, Givens Estates in Asheville and Givens Highland Farms in Black Mountain. Program expansion for the broader community and Givens’ Affordable Communities is in the planning stages and a website may be found at www.givenshomefirst.org.
“Givens Home First marks a new era of compassionate and uniquely tailored care for our residents, empowering them to embrace the joys of aging in familiar surroundings while receiving the support they need,” said Jessie Bosshard, the program’s executive director. “This holistic program has been carefully designed in response to external consultation, resident surveys, and comprehensive research into the needs and desires of the residents of our two Life Plan Communities and the wider community.”
The program supports residents with a licensed Home Care agency, Community Nursing and an Aging in Place team, that empowers residents with safety assessments and home modifications. The wide variety of services offered range from pet care to personal care and hygiene, meal preparation and companionship. Home Care visits are available seven days a week, all year round.
