The Importance of Accreditation
Givens Highland Farms in Black Mountain and Givens Estates in Asheville again are recipients of a 5-year accreditation by CARF International, meaning our independent senior living communities passed an in-depth review based on national and international quality standards.
CARF International – the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities – is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, and assists service providers in demonstrating value by setting universal organizational and program standards.
CARF accreditation is available to assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, home and community-based services, among other categories of facilities. The process applies a set of standards during an on-site survey and review assessment.
Reaccreditation is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, from compassionate team members to a committed Board of Directors, and of course, valued residents who enrich their communities. This achievement reflects dedication to the Givens Mission and Vision.
CARF accreditation isn’t a one-and-done, however, but an ongoing process, signaling to the public that a service provider is committed to continuously improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community. Accreditation also demonstrates a provider’s commitment to enhance its performance, manage its risk, and distinguish its service delivery.
