A nonprofit senior living organization of four distinct campuses across Western North Carolina, with Givens Estates in Asheville, Givens Highland Farms in Black Mountain, Givens Great Laurel in Waynesville and Givens Gerber Park in south Asheville, as well as services such as Givens Choice, an age in place membership program, and Life Ministries, which conducts outreach to underserved populations.
Positions typically available at Givens Communities range from dining services, healthcare, nursing, environmental services and maintenance, as well as accounting and administrative roles. Another career avenue unique at Givens Communities is a Nurse Aide Training Program, an earn while you learn, 10-week training curriculum with students spending part time in class learning the N.C State Nurse Aide curriculum, and part time working in Givens Health Centers as Resident Assistants. Following graduation they work as CNAs, caring for residents at Givens clinical sites across campuses.
