Givens Communities joins with Eaton to present the 2025 Chamber Challenge 5k, “Celebrating Workplace Wellness,” on May 2. The theme is designed to promote community wellness through friendly competition between businesses in the Asheville area.

The course begins and ends at the Asheville Chamber and winds through the historic Montford neighborhood. Last year, the first finisher clocked in at 17 minutes, 39 seconds, while the final participant crossed the finish line at an hour, 33 minutes.

There is still time to register – there will be no race-day registration. Packet pick-up for the event (in-person and virtual registrations) is Thursday, May 1, from noon until 2 p.m. in the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce parking lot. Packet will contain race bib, T-shirt, and promotional pieces and coupons from vendors and sponsors.

There will be a mass start at 4 p.m. Participants running late should proceed to the start line and alert officials they are ready to start. Participants can start late up until 4:45 p.m. Race ends at 6 p.m. An awards ceremony will take place at the start line at 5:30 p.m. The race takes place rain or shine.
