Givens Communities proudly served as the Presenting Sponsor of the Asheville Chamber Challenge 5k on May 1. More than 800 participants and attendees – including residents and team members from across Givens Communities – came together in celebration of movement and connection.

Hosted by the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, the annual event promotes wellness, workplace health, and local business camaraderie throughout Western North Carolina. Known for its friendly competition and team-centered spirit, the race brings together employees, organizations, and residents to encourage active lifestyles while fostering meaningful networking opportunities.

Givens Communities maintained a strong and engaging presence throughout the event, cheering on runners and connecting with fellow participants. Our team hosted a dedicated Givens Communities booth where runners and spectators could learn more about our mission, services, and vibrant campuses. A fan-favorite feature of the day was our photo booth, where teams paused to snap photos and celebrate their accomplishments together.

At the conclusion of the race, Jessie Bosshard, Executive Director of Home and Community-Based Services, addressed the crowd, representing Givens Communities with enthusiasm and heart. Her remarks highlighted the importance of wellness, collaboration, and community—values that are deeply embedded in the Givens mission.
